Girls Day!!

Whew! It's been a whirlwind of a weekend! But in the best possible way!!!

Friday we had a girls day! My friend Kelly drove up from San Antonio and I picked her up Friday morning at the bus station. We went to meet Christina at Cracker Barrel for brunch right after that. The food was really good but we had a pretty comical experience of the crankiest people on earth serving us. It was hysterical.

After brunch, we went to Christina's to swim! This was definitely my favorite part of the day. There is nothing better than just laying out with your girlfriends without a care in the world. Was AWESOME! We even had sno cones delivered, thanks to Christina's sweet boyfriend. Christina and I "tanned" in complete shade and we somehow ended up burned, ha. I felt really fat in my swimsuit, but at least I felt fat with my girlfriends that don't care how I look. LOL I'm SO beyond looking cute at this point. I'm just SO tired. LOL.

After we swam, Christina went to her friend's house to set up for the shower and Kelly and I went home. I, of course, needed a nap so she took my car and went to buy a shower gift while I slept. I felt good when I woke up and we had Mexican food, my fav! YAY! While we were there, we were serenaded by an Elvis Presley impersonator. That was interesting. Haha. And then we came home, played online and then went to sleep!

It really was the perfect day. I felt good that day, I was with some wonderful ladies, and it was just one of those days when you realize how beautiful life is. I'm so happy to be able to enjoy my life again. I was in a scary place for awhile and my new medicine has really balanced me out to look at the best parts of my life and focus on them. I've had so many downs in my life, and right now is definitely an UP. I'm learning to cherish EVERY. MOMENT.

  1. Yay! :o) It was really a great day. I have to say that I needed the relaxation, and to just have a chill day (weekend) more than I knew. LOL.
